At the Meeting held on the 29 June 2009, the draw for the first and second rounds of the competition was made and is as hereunder.

SNAILWELL & DISTRICT CHALLENGE CUP
1 The competition shall be known as the ‘Snailwell & District Challenge Cup’ (Charity Cup), and shall be affiliated to the Cambridgeshire Football Association.
2 The A.G.M. shall be held in July each year when Clubs ARE to be represented by two members. Clubs not in membership the previous year shall not vote at the A.G.M. An audited balance sheet for the past season shall be presented at this meeting
3 The following officers shall be elected at the A.G.M.:- Patron, President, Vice Presidents, Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary / Treasurer, and Auditor.
4 The management of the competition shall be in the hands of the committee consisting of the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary / Treasurer and three other members elected at the A.G.M. This committee shall have jurisdiction over all matters affecting the competition whether specifically provided for in these rules or not.
5 The committee shall meet in May each year to prepare for the A.G.M., and to disperse any surplus in the funds (after allowing for an adequate balance for the next season) as they think fit, with due regard to past precedence in this matter.
6 Power is given to the Secretary to call a meeting of the committee if deemed necessary.
7 Membership of Clubs to be decided at the Annual General Meeting.
8 Annual subscription to be £ . , which is to be payable by the 01 August following the A.G.M.
9 The competition shall be conducted on a Knockout basis.10 The winners of the Cup shall hold it for that year and return it to the Secretary not later than 21 April following. Four officials of the winning Club shall sign a document undertaking to take care of the Trophy whilst in their possession and to return it duly engraved. The trophy to be insured by the winners against loss or damage.
11 All games shall be of equal periods not less than forty-five minutes unless in exceptional circumstances when two periods of not less than thirty-five minutes shall be played. In all matches of the competition extra time shall be played if necessary, the score if still a draw the result to be decided on penalties. The Committee shall have the power to decide the result of an abandoned match. The matches can be played on a Sunday if mutually agreed. Up to three substitutes to be allowed to partake at any time during the match.
12 The Semi-finals and Final shall take place on grounds agreed by the committee. All preliminary and first round matches to be played by the 30 September, and the quarter final matches to be played by the 15 April of the following year, the dates of these games to be mutually agreed between the Clubs. The dates shall be forwarded to the Secretary within twenty-eight days of the fixtures being notified to the Clubs.
13 Referees shall be appointed from the Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk F.A. lists. The scale of fees shall be the same as recommended for the Referees in the County handbooks, for the respective leagues. Referees Assistants when appointed shall receive a fee equal to one half of that paid to the Referee. County rates of travelling shall be paid in addition to the fee. Half fee plus travelling expenses to be paid to the official(s) that have made the journey, if the match is not commenced. In the preliminary, first and second rounds, the Referee does not attend then no protest will be entertained if the teams agree to another person controlling the match.
14 Home Club to provide a Referee / Referees Assistants up to the second round. The officials for these two rounds are NOT to be associated with any Officer of the Club. Neutral Referee / Referees Assistants will be provided for the Semi-finals and Final.
15 In the Semi-finals and Final the senior Referees Assistant shall referee the match if the appointed official does not attend the match and/or if the Referee sustains an injury, forcing him to take no further part in the game.
16 Each Club shall register its colours with the Secretary, and in the event of two teams having colours nearly alike, and then the home Club shall change its colours up to the second round. In the Semi-finals and Final colours clash then both Clubs shall change colours. 17 Each Club playing in the competition SHALL not less than 7 days before its FIRST match send the Secretary a list of name sand addresses of all players from whom their team will be chosen. Additions to the list will only be allowed up to the 31 March in the following year, and/or by the time the second round match is played, whichever is the latest. All players must qualify as follows:- a) He must be a bona-fide member of a Club. b) A CONTRACT player SHALL NOT play in the competition. c) He shall not play for more than one Club in the competition, in one season. d) No objection to the qualification of any player who has taken part in a match will be entertained unless particulars are given to the Secretary in writing within three days of the match accompanied by a deposit of £40.00. e) That NO player registered with a Jewson League Club will be eligible to play in the competition unless he has played in three of the previous five Reserve team matches prior to any match in the competition.
18 Both Clubs to send result cards to the Secretary not more than three days after the match, together with a list of names of the players having played in that match.
19 Any Club failing to keep its appointment maybe declared by the committee to have lost the tie. If in the Semi-final a fine of £150.00 will be imposed plus any other costs the competition may elect to apply at the time.
20 Teams contesting the Semi-finals are to share the cost of the expenses incurred by the officials officiating at the match. July 2006
